Daniela Terrazzini was asked to illustrate the website and promotional material for this years festival ‘Folk by the Oak’. The festival celebrates the best of folk music in the stunning grounds of Hatfield House. Daniela’s illustrations draw on the natural beauty of the setting as well as the musical elements involved in the folk music. Daniela’s ability to create intricate illustrations incorporating various subject matter, however subtly it is required, made her the perfect choice of illustrator. Laurindo Feliciano

The Artworks are delighted to introduce the latest new talent to join their roster of artists, Laurindo Feliciano. Laurindo was born in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. He has lived and worked in Paris since 2003.  Before the start of his Illustration career he worked as an architect and designer. Inspired by his own collection of vintage books, magazines, postcards and letters, he has created an impressive amount of beautiful illustration works over the years. All of his Illustrations and posters share a certain nostalgic flair and a great passion for surrealism. We are very excited to welcome him to The Artworks, and can’t wait to see what he does next!

Thomas Flintham: Bonkers World Magazine for Best Western

Bert and Winnie are Thomas Flintham's super brother and sister duo for Bonkers World - the new kids' magazine for Best Western Hotels Kids' Club. The children's motto is Discover & Explore, which is exactly what they do with the help of their loveable sidekick, Gordon the Hamster. Each issue finds the trio in different locations seeking adventure and getting into high jinx with a random assortment of characters along the way. There are plenty of puzzles, activities, facts and fun throughout - mazes, dot-to-dots, riddles, competitions, quizzes and even recipes. Thomas Flintham is represented by Arena

The World In Your Kitchen

New Internationalist have commissioned Jonathan Allardyce to produce 12 artworks for the 2013 'World In your Kitchen' calendar. Every month suggests a favourite vegetarian recipe with delightful illustrations of the dish or the place from which it comes. Proceeds from the calendar go to a number of charities including Amnesty International, Traidcraft, CAFOD, SCIAF and Christian Aid. The calendar is still available here.

Hennessey Best Dressed Lady

Katharine Asher's super art for Irish International has been used to beautiful effect recently. Last month saw the annual Hennessy Gold Cup take place at Leoparstown racecourse. In addition to providing the trophy and prize for the race, Hennessy have a 'best dressed lady competition' for which Katharine's illustration was used. The image could be seen on posters to promote the event, online for the Facebook application and also in the Best Dressed Lady Marquee on the actual day

Tom Cole’s latest covers

Tom Cole has blown us all away AGAIN with this series for the "James Herriot Memoirs" commissioned by Littlebrown. As you can see the series of 4 covers fit together to make one panarmaic landscape, beautiful. New to the industry Tom proves how diverse you can be whilst still keeping true to a unique style. We didn't think that Space Race could be beaten so quickly. Everyone is jealous of your bold and confident colours. Well done Tom can't wait to see what's next.

Chris Wormell’s stamps for Royal Mail

We are so very proud to show you the first of a three series set of Stamps by Chris Wormell. "Freshwater Life" is the set you see here which shows Chris' absolutely incredible depiction of "pond life". The colours are so beautiful, the way the illustrations appear as though the water would ripple right off the page. Look out for the forthcoming "Life in Lakes" and "Denizens of Rivers" out later this year.

Frances Castle: Shapwick Record Sleeve Design

After the success of Clay Pipe Music's limited edition Shapwick CD by Jon Brooks, which sold out within a couple of hours, a 12" vinyl version in now available to pre-order. The release features new artwork by Clay Pipe's founder, Frances Castle and is beautifully printed on reverse mat board and limited to 500 hand numbered copies, each with a download code.

Down and Out in Paris and London

Paul Catherall illustrates a book cover for George Orwell's classic novel 'Down and Out in Paris and London' for Penguin Books. Catherall combines an expert eye for composition and colour with consummate draughtsmanship to create striking and iconic images. He is renowned for his clean, sharp linocuts of architectural landmarks and draws his inspiration from mid 20th century poster designers such as Tom Eckersley and Edward Wadsworth.
