Jacquie Lawson: E-Cards by David Hitch

E-Card company, Jacquie Lawson, commissioned David Hitch to create a series of animated e-cards. They loved his illustrations for Penguin's PG Wodehouse: Jeeves & Wooster series and thought he would be perfect in capturing a bit of quintessential dry British humour.
They asked David to develop a family of characters that would deliver quick, sharp and funny 'one liners'. Here are the first two artworks in context, Blustery Day and Tee Time.

Fritz and Franzi Campaign

A campaign for Fritz and Franzi involving Natalie Kilany's Love Bug illustration has been shortlisted for the Art Directors Club Switzerland. Natalie's clever composition evokes the loneliness of the situation in this very triumphant piece of art. Fritz and Franzi is a magazine for parents, guardians and institutions covering all matters relating to the problems one can face when bringing up children and adolescents.

Cloudspotting for Beginners

'Cloudspotting for Beginners' is an illustration completed by Steinar Lund for Country Life Magazine. Published last month, the piece is for an article on the types of cloud we generally see in the UK, Steinar says "I often walk in the English countryside at weekends and take photographs, including clouds. Consequently I had a lot of cloud photographs which helped in doing the image. Although I was not previously aware of the technical names of clouds, I can now impress/bore my friends by pointing what type of clouds are above our heads!"
