BEVERLEY CORALDEAN – NEW WORK & INTERVIEW
We’re excited to unveil Beverley’s stunning new cover samples with beautiful hand drawn lettering and we caught up with her recently to discuss these and learn more about her creative process.
Beverley originally studied Games Art at art college, as well as typography. After she graduated, she gravitated towards illustration and printmaking and she’s worked on many different projects during her freelance career so far: animation, mural painting, sign writing and stationery. Although she works digitally, every project idea initially starts in her sketchbook before she moves on to her Wacom Cintiq.
“It’s lovely to be able to concentrate on one project for a long time, I get lost in the detail which works for my large-scale murals. It takes time to block out each part before you can go in and add details. I’d love to do more large-scale montage cities, perhaps jigsaw puzzles, I love the idea of designing patterns for packaging and products like beer cans. And I really enjoy creating book covers, I love integrating type and image.” - Beverley Coraldean
