The Olympics are just around the corner and with this in mind Ian Whadcock was commissioned to illustrate a feature for View magazine.
The feature focuses on the true meaning of Olympic spirit and commends the civil and public servants who will make the games possible.
Ian's illustration cleverly combines sporting achievement and the more mundane, but essential, work going on behind the scenes.
Mark Oliver's magnificent work for Starbucks China is now live. JWT Shanghai commissioned Mark for ten illustrations, each of a different planet to represent ten Frappuchino flavours. The illustrations also had to accommodate a photographic image of the Frappuchino. Mark says "The plan was to create an amazing HTML 5 animation for the web and all illustrations had to be complete within three weeks." See it here.
Lucia Emanuela Curzi has won second prize in the Olympia Illustration Competition! The brief was to produce a poster design that marked their milestone anniversary while celebrating the venue’s rich culture and heritage, with the poster being featured in their commemorative 125th anniversary campaign. Lucia created her piece in her spare time earlier in the year, and only just missing out on the first prize place, the organisers called her to say they would be making a 'special' second prize place for her! Lucia was able to join the celebration at The Olympia Theatre where she has been photographed with her art.

Rosie Sanders has worked on seven packaging illustrations for Sunniva Fruit Juices. Commissioned via Stromme Throndsen Design in Norway, we see two of the mouth-watering artworks here.
Chris Garbutt was commissioned by the Usborne Foundation to create character designs and backgrounds for a new online interactive educational game for children. Teach Your Monster to Read: First Steps helps children master the first stages of reading by using synthetic phonics. Chris designed LOADS of monsters so the children can choose their own monster avatar to explore the magical world, meet the island kings and collect letters to win prizes.
Adam Stower's picture book Naughty Kitty! is published by Templar this month. In this charming sequel to the popular Silly Doggy! we meet Lily again, just as her mum finally agrees to buy her a pet - but it's not a doggy, it's a kitten! When things start to go wrong around the house, Lily is quick to blame her new little furry friend with hilarious consequences.

It's not often that you get a brief which asks you to design a bear equivalent of Ray Winstone with the swagger of a chain-smoking cockney for 7 to 9 year olds! Kristyna Litten rose to the challenge and came up with this brilliant wrap-a-round cover for Mr McCool, published by Egmont this month.
This retro inspired illustration was created by Migy Blanco for the BBC’s classical music magazine. His great use of lettering and clever mix of iconography provides a super stylish advert that shows what musical events are happening around the UK. This is just one of the many pieces that Migy has produced for magazines around the world
Another year, another nomination for Artist Partners very own talented artist Larry Rostant! The David Gemmell Awards are just around the corner, being hosted this year at The Magic Circle, congregating together will the well known and highly respected fantasy Authors from the fantasy genre, top fantasy publishers and their editors who will also attend.
Many great talented names this year will be celebrating the 2012 awards ! The David Gemmell awards, was named after one of Britain’s most talented and best selling fantasy author’s David Gemmell who died in 2006 . David was the main judge of the national literary competition, "the Legend Writing Award" which was named after his breakthrough novel “Legend”. These awards were established and intended to "restore fantasy to its proper place in the literary pantheon”.
As in previous years, Larry Rostant appears once again in the shortlist, this time for his hugely successful cover for "Among Thieves" by Douglas Hulick. the book was published by Macmillan Books (Tor Imprint) and art directed by Neil Lang
