Adam Stower scoops the Alligators Mouth Award for Illustrated Early Fiction

We are delighted to announce that Adam Stower has scooped the 2020 Alligators Mouth Award for Illustrated Early Fiction with King Coo and the Curse of the Mummy's Gold (Published by David Fickling Books)

A panel of seven experts in children's literature including Illustrators Nick Sharratt and Yasmeen Ismail together selected King Coo and the Curse of the Mummy's Gold as the winner of the 2020 Award. With strong competition from the likes of Ali Pye and Alex Milway, this year's shortlist showcased some of the most exciting illustrated fiction available for avid young readers.

Linda Clark for Luca Faloni

Luca Faloni - a menswear startup focused on fine materials, line and cashmere handcrafted by artisans in Italy - recently commissioned Phosphor's Linda Clark to illustrate their shop front.

In order to celebrate re-opening, Luca Faloni wanted a cheerful sketch of their shop front in Marylebone and knew Linda was the woman for the job, having seen her work for Panerai watches.

Beugism was selected to work on the project by Louise Grant — the Head of events at Silicon Milkroundabout — working together through rounds of sketching on Procreate and feedback, with the approved roughs being vectorised on Illustrator.
