This Head to Head event presents well known illustrators Jenny Bowers (Peepshow) and Garry Parsons, who create imagery for a broad spectrum of high profile commissioners, including editorial, children’s books, broadcasting and design.
They will be talking about their work, careers, motivations, and how they find work. The evening also includes discussions moderated by Rod Hunt, covering a range of topics, including, Have you compromised your ethics for money? Do you feel the need to adapt for the future? How do you deal with clients, and other issues raised from the audience.

Bright's long-time artist Mike Spoor has been making headlines with his illustrations for 'Dinosaur Cove', by Devon writer Helen Greathead, described as a "friendly, funny approach to the most exciting dinosaurs around". An immensely popular fictional series about dinosaurs, Mike's continued success is due to his expressive line-art and engaging illustrations.
Here are a small selection of the illustrations Ben Scruton produced for the self storage company Ready Steady Store. Ben created a series of characters representing people from all walks of life for use across this print and online advertising campaign.

Constanze is an award winning, German artist and author whose delightful work has been published across the globe with great success. This year her illustrations have been selected for the Illustrator's Exhibition at the Bologna Children's Book Fair. With her unique rich colour and textured work, as well as great line work, we think she will be a welcome addition to our stable of talent!
