loves illustrating these action packed adventures about Amy
Cluckbucket - The Kung Foo Chicken, with a few of the characters being
based on her own pet hens!
Creative Review's Ad of the Week features a series of three ancient maps for Whiskas illustrated in fine detail by Dave Hopkins. Dave Hopkins worked closely with the AMV team over two months to create these highly acclaimed and innovative ads which have been entered for the prestigious Cannes awards.
We are very pleased to announce that Thomas Flintham'sMarvellous Maths, written by Jonathan Litton and published by Templar, has been shortlisted in the 'Best Book for Facts' category for the very influential Blue Peter Book Awards 2014. The two winning books will be announced live on Blue Peter for World Book Day on 6th March 2014.

It's been Thomas Flintham's month as his book, Molecule Mayhem, written by Tom Adams, won this year's 2013 ALCS Award for Educational Writing. This book is an outstanding example of a non-fiction pop-up chemistry book that inspires young readers aged 5-11 years, as it seeks to engage by introducing them to complex concepts in the strange nature of matter.
Rob Ball’s incredible comic , ‘Winter’s Knight: Day One’ has been nominated for Best British comic at the National British Comic Awards. Another year, another nomination for Artist Partners very own talented artist Larry Rostant! The David Gemmell Awards are just around the corner, being hosted this year at The Magic Circle, congregating together will the well known and highly respected fantasy Authors from the fantasy genre, top fantasy publishers and their editors who will also attend.
Many great talented names this year will be celebrating the 2012 awards ! The David Gemmell awards, was named after one of Britain’s most talented and best selling fantasy author’s David Gemmell who died in 2006 . David was the main judge of the national literary competition, "the Legend Writing Award" which was named after his breakthrough novel “Legend”. These awards were established and intended to "restore fantasy to its proper place in the literary pantheon”.
As in previous years, Larry Rostant appears once again in the shortlist, this time for his hugely successful cover for "Among Thieves" by Douglas Hulick. the book was published by Macmillan Books (Tor Imprint) and art directed by Neil Lang
CONGRATULATIONS! We’re proud to announce that Jonny Duddle, has won the most prestigious and valuable children’s book prize in the country for his picture book The Pirates Next Door (Templar). His book was crowned overall winner of the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize 2012 which, champions new and emerging talent in children’s writing.
Announcing the award, Melissa Cox, Children’s Buyer at Waterstones, described the book as a thoroughly deserving winner: “The Pirates Next Door is full of the anarchic wit and invention children love in a picture book. It’s fresh and fun and has been a huge hit in Waterstones’ shops across the country, and had an incredible reception from booksellers, parents and, most importantly, children. Jonny is a huge new talent in the picture book field.” Book Trade
Huge congratulations to the ultra talented Chris Wormellwho was awarded first prize in the ’books for younger children’ category in the Red House Children’s Book Award 2012 for ‘Scruffy Bear and the Six White Mice’. The award was decided by the harshest critics of all, the children themselves. Well done Chris!

Melvyn Grant is an artist whose work has been held with the highest esteem for many years!
Recently he was awarded a special prize for illustration by the Spanish Association Comic Con in Malaga, Spain. He was asked to attend as a guest of honour at the ceremony and awarded a prize as well as being voted best illustrator!
Melvyn always attracts an eclectic audience of fans as he has always worked in various genres of illustration – Children’s Books (covers and interiors). Terry Pratchett’s Picture Book and Calendars, Fantasy covers and Horror books, and his other identity as a much coveted album cover artist. Melvyn is the artist behind at least three of the most recent album covers for the world’s biggest heavy metal band *Iron Maiden* he has also acquired a huge fan base because of it, who enjoy following his work with ever increasing enthusiasm.
Quite recently Melvyn was asked to be involved in supplying the model Erin O’Connor with some prints of his work for her own MODEL SANCTUARY in Covent Garden !
Melvyn is also the cover artist behind many of the popular book covers by the author Darren Shan.

We give a huge round of applause to Anne Wilson, winner of the Serco Prize for Illustration.
Anne’s ‘Winding Through The City’ beat 400 entries for the competition, 50 of which are on show at the London Transport Museum until June 3rd. The brief was to show the Thames as a diverse and exciting place for Londoners and visitors. The winning image is to be reproduced as posters to be used around the transport network and also sold at the London Transport museum shop. Anne Wilson is represented by Illustration Ltd
