Bill Sanderson Illustrates A Tudor Christmas

Phosphor Art's Bill Sanderson was recently commissioned by Penguin Books to illustrate A Tudor Christmas. Written by best-selling historian Alison Weir and lecturer and guide for Historic Royal Palaces Siobhan Clarke, the book teaches you all you need to know about the period of feasting, revelry and merrymaking.
Bill was tasked with creating his signature scratchboard illustrations for the internal pages of the book.

Dave Hopkins Illustrates The Royal Art of Poison Cover

Phosphor Art's Dave Hopkins was commissioned by Duckworth to illustrate this stunning cover of the UK edition of Eleanor Herman's book The Royal Art of Poison: Fatal Cosmetics, Deadly Medicines and Murder Most Foul.
Dave's artwork in his signature pen and ink style has been getting a lot of love on social media.

Artist Spotlight: Judy Stevens

 

Judy Stevens trained as a fine artist in painting and printmaking at Hornsey College of Art (now Middlesex University). She has worked as an illustrator for many years – her work includes children’s books, cookery books, advertising and regular contributions to The Guardian, Observer and New Statesman magazines.

Dave Hopkins Illustrates Historic Stumbles

Phosphor's Dave Hopkins is known for his etching style pen and ink illustrations, which are perfect for both fiction and non-fiction books. His distinctive style is showcased on the cover art for 101 Stumbles in the March of History, a new book from the author of 100 Mistakes that Changed History. Dave's task was to illustrate scenes such as Columbus sailing off  the side of the flat Earth and The White House flying the Union Jack.
