Embroidery artist Emily Tull

Embroidery artist Emily Tull made it to the top three artists in the regional final for Sky Arts Portrait of the year series which was filmed earlier this month.

Emily had to produce an embroidered portrait of her model Melvyn Bragg  within the time limit of 4 hours - quite an achievement in such a small space of time. Emily worked at the Wallace  Collection - here is her finished piece, and another more finished and detailed piece which she finished at home ...... Emily's work will appear within the book that Sky Arts have also produced which accompanies the series....

Benji Davies : Goodnight Already (HarperCollins)

Meet Bear. He’s exhausted. All he wants is to go to sleep.

Meet Duck, Bear’s persistent next-door neighbor. All he wants is to hang out . . . with Bear.

Jory John, author of All My Friends Are Dead, and Benji Davies join together to create this standout hilarious picture book that will make bedtime memorable.

Following his international success with The Storm Whale and highly anticipated succeeding book On Sudden Hill (both Simon & Schuster), Benji Davies illustrates this soon-to-be classic bedtime story with a charming twist on his distinguished style. A hilariously playful take on the friend who just won’t quit, sleepy Bear endures the annoying antics of his energetic neighbour Duck through beautifully designed and textured spreads.

Goodnight already! has quickly gained critical acclaim only having just been released in the US market earlier this week, and featured first on Buzzfeed’s 25 Ridiculously Wonderful Books to read with Kids in 2015.

Debut Art was approached by Cubbitt House to help on a project for their new restaurant, Percy and Founders, opening soon in Fitzrovia, London. The brief was to create a perspective installation of the company logo on the site of the new restaurant. The video of the installation would then be used on the restaurant's holding page. Steve Smith AKA Neasden Control Centre is no stranger to large scale installations so his skills were called upon and he soon set to work. The time lapse video of the installation can be seen here
