In the depths of winter 2016 Sarah Maycock and Tom were invited to the Natural History Museum to discuss a new and exciting (top-secret) project. Ushered through a side door they gathered round a grand table in one of the many rooms of the museum that are closed off to the general public. Benji from Weidemann Lampe showed us some complex looking floor-plans, which were the initial thinkings of the 'Whales: Beneath the Surface' exhibition that opened it's door in July 2017.

We are delighted to share the outcome of Peter Strain’s recent collaboration with Pottermore. Peter was commissioned to create these four bespoke and highly covetable typographical art prints, each celebrating an iconic quotation from one of the seven Harry Potter books.
We are very pleased to announce that the winner of this year’s SAA Associate Prize for New Talent in Illustration at New Designers 2017 is Sophie Melissa from Falmouth University.
The award is given to a graduate in Illustration who is judged to have created the most fresh and inspiring work at New Designers. The prize is a career-making six months trial representation by one of the SAA’s member agents to be revealed soon, so watch this space.

We just love Euan Cook’s cover illustrations for Gabrielle Kent’s fantasy series, Alfie Bloom - published this month by Scholastic.
Euan’s eye-catching images and lettering beautifully reflect the spell-binding adventure stories about eleven year-old Alfie whose dull and lonely life is transformed after discovering that he has inherited a castle full of wonders and an ancient magic hidden inside him. However, dangerous forces are after his powerful magic and it’s up to him, his family and his friends to keep the magic safe.
