Dan Bramall whose quirky book covers are known to many, has started on a series of fun animal characters to be used on greeting cards. Look out for the brightly coloured range which will be printed later this year.
The social phenomenon that is Iron Maiden have just released their fifteenth album entitled “The Final Frontier” celebrates the bands best album yet.
Fear of the Dark was the first cover, I Virtual XI was the 2nd, Death on the Road was the 3rd, and Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg was 4th.

The Album cover was again commissioned by Peacock Design, and they approached Artist Partners once again to commission the artist and illustrator Mel Grant to produce this very prestigious cover. Amazingly this is the fifth album cover that Mel Grant has illustrated for them over the years, and he was delighted to be asked. Iron Maiden are a very hands on band when it comes to their cover art and the art direction and collaboration with Peacock and Mel Grant produced a formidable image.
Chris Wormell has recently completed a special project for the Museum of the Order of St John. His lino prints were transferred to large scale wall panels and used in a new gallery at the museum to illustrate the history of St John’s Gate.
Paul Catherall has produced a new image to accompany Bedford Museum, Cecil Higgins Gallery for their forthcoming exhibition. The exhibition will coincide with the 80th Anniversary of the R101 Air Disaster.
John Rielly, master of the comic book genre has once again recreated the classic style, this time taking ‘Mad Men’ as inspiration. Commissioned by Shortlist magazine, John produced two artworks, one for the cover and another for an inside spread.
Garry Walton’s cheeky artworks for Keep Britain Tidy’s latest campaign have caused quite a stir. Garry was commissioned to create a poster in the classic saucy sea-side style, to be used across various media platforms. The artworks have sparked national debate, being deemed as too risque by some. We think the posters are great and are right behind the campaign (excuse the pun).
Last month Jeff Wack worked with M&C Saatchi on their "Don't get stung on holiday" campaign for Travelex. Look out for Jeff's Scorpion, Mosquito and Jellyfish illustrations around and about on posters and the tube right now.
Alastair Taylor was commissioned by Theatre Alibi to illustrate the poster for their autumn production. "A Flying Visit" is a play for 5-11 year olds and is the story of a boy who wakes up one morning with wings instead of arms. Alastair's whimsical illustration fits the story perfectly.
